AC/DC – Highway to Hell Reviews

Highway to Hell

essential recording
What Highway to Hell has that Back in Black doesn’t is Bon Scott, AC/DC’s original lead singer who died just months after this album was released. Scott had a rusty, raspy, scream of a voice, like he might break into a coughing fit at any moment. In other words, on crunchy, hook-heavy metal classics like the title track, and on “Get It Hot” which is more roadhouse rock than metal, he had the perfect instrument for such wild-living anthems. Too perfect, it turned (more…)

Hello fellow AC / DC fans, I have 2 thoughts on this release, and it goes for the rest of the catalog as well as new editions. If you've never purchased that version or a copy purchased before 1994 then I would definitely buy. The package and the sound are great. However, if you, as I bought the first “original tapes remastered” version released in 1994, I would. It sounds just like the new “original twin remaster”. If you have an upgrade for the pkg (new CD booklet), and then let them. If you are looking for updated sound miracle forgotten. By the way, the 5 stars are for the sight of the “I do not have this and still wonder whether its worth it.” For me, the person in the third round of AC / DC renewed it 2 stars for the Digipak and Book!

    AC/DC’s best album ever?
A lot of people will tell you Back in Black is AC/DC’s best album. And maybe it is, but this one is every bit as good if not better.

    Highway To Hell/Highway To Death
“Highway To Hell” may be AC/DC’s most acclaimed record next to “Back In Black.” It’s definitely the last release featuring B. Scott.

Wow …. That is what is good for the compilation. The sound, the energy and the intensity is unbelievable. That sounds like it was just yesterday! Well, if you have not heard one song from this album, you are a complete hermit. This is one of the ultimate hard rock / heavy metal masterpieces of all time. Every song rocks hard and every song is a winner. No fillers here. To stop your money for all of the NU-metal and modern pop-trash, and some of the real things.

“Highway To Hell”, released in 1979 was lead singer Bonn Scott, the last album with AC / DC on his early death. The album was a milestone for the AC / DC and their first radio hit (in the U.S.) in “Highway To Hell”. The album is a hard rock lover's dream, with big power chords, lead breaks and powerful vocals. The songs that standout on this release (which for more than half of the album) are the title track “Highway To Hell”, “Girls Got Rhythm,” “Shot Down In Flames”, “Get It Hot” ;, “If You Want Blood (You've Got It)”, “Walk All Over You” and “Touch Too Much”. Newly Remastered CD which is now under the label Epic sounds much better than the older 1994 Remastered version. The lower end, mid-range and output levels were drastically. I've actually compared them and found this new release to the superiors of the two. The digipak, the CD is very attractive and includes a booklet with color photos, etc. If you like groups like Judas Priest, UFO, Def Leppard, Krokus, Scorpions, etc., than you will not be disappointed “Highway To Hell” ;.

A perfect representation of that classic rock style
To me, classic rock from around the 1969s and 1970s is the center of music. I think that AC/DC perfectly show that genre, and although people talk about this is where they…

    Rest In Peace Bon Scott
Another classic AC/DC album. This is actually AC/DC`s sixth studio album and the one that broke them in the U.S and world wide.
