  • This is Morbid Angel’s first official demo/release and I must say it is very impressive. However, one must be prepared that this is not entirely the streamlined Morbid Angel we have today, but a young band who had been together just three years. Most of the songs on here are re-recorded on other albums, but you just have to hear this if you love this band. Mike Browning, who was once in the godly Nocturnus, plays drums and sings (which he did on Nocturnus’ “The Key”), so it sounds quite different. The guitars sound similar to Venom, and you can definatly tell that this is really old stuff. If not great for the time it was recorded (1986), it is an interesting listen.
