Saw the death metal merchants play live here recently.Until a month or so ago,I had sort of forgotten about this band,which of course features former Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes.I still run across patrons at metal shows that didn’t know that.Only downside about this seven track EP is that it’s WAY too short.I mean,25 minutes.Come on!Nonetheless,’Alive…’ is still a semi-worthy title.Tunes I liked the most were their head-riveting cover of Judas Priest’s “Grinder” and a couple of the live cuts,”Suffering In Ecstasy” and “Beneath A Black Sky”.Should appeal to fans of Cannibal Corpse,early Celtic Frost,Nuclear Death,Cradle Of Filth and possibly King Diamond.
