  • 4 years after the dissapointing ‘Wiseblood’ and 6 since the release of the masterpiece ‘Deliverance’, COC presents us with “America’s Volume Dealer’, arguably the band’s best work to date.’Over Me’, the opening cut, just grabs you by the guts from the very first riff. And from the Skynyrdesque ‘Stare too long’ to the crunchy ‘Take what you want’ the band exhales naturally what lacks on most bands today (king’s x aside): honesty and feeling.More good news: the guys have defenitely abandoned the political [stuff] on their lyrics, wich are again superb. This might be a reflection of the band’s maturity, when you realize that the best way to change the world is to change yourself (‘if i stare too long, i might not see you right’).And if that wasn’t still enough, the production’s so fine that it has stabilshed new quality patterns for my ears.Easily, 2000’s best release. … .
