  • They remind me a little of Shiny Toy Guns: alt rock with male and female leads, and both bands have songs I love and songs I can’t stand. Agree with other reviewers that the first few songs sound like White Stripes.

They have a much better sound when the girl is involved. She has a lovely warm voice, and they do stirring harmonies. Some of the songs get better with every listen, like Dull Gold Heart, Honest, and Bomb. I can’t stand Death by Diamonds etc and Fires, that’s why I only gave four stars.

Going to see them in a couple weeks. Wish they would hurry up and burn the hard copies so I could have a reference file.

  • London debut combines glam/psych Indie garage rock with some hard-edged guitar and
distortion-damaged blues lines in a place where melody-strewn verses collide with rumbling,
riff-driven choruses. Hanging out somewhere among White Stripes, the Kills, Duke Spirit,
Queens Of the Stone Age, Black Keys.

  • Great band, not a bad song on the album. I am really amazed that they are still relatively unknown. $5.99?! That is a great price for so much damn good music. If you like The Black Keys, or White Stripes, you will dig this! PLUG-Check out Dan Auerbach’s new album too!

  • Wow, this is the one of the best alt-rock albums I’ve heard in a long time. There’s not really a bad song on the entire record, with some real standouts. Cold Fame is probably one of my favorite rock ballads of all time and I can’t stop listening. $5.99 is a steal and I’ll be following this band in the future.

  • I am not going to blabber on for paragraphs about how great this album is. If you consider yourself a music enthusiast with, at the very least, some flavorful taste in the rock genre and have not heard this album — then do yourself a favor and fork over $5.99 and download it. You’ll be able to listen to this album from beginning to end every single time. This is the type of album that is definitely worth the purchase.

As of writing, there have only been two reviews of this album prior to my own personal review submission; I believe that both of these reviews adequately and appropriately described the band’s sound and album’s delivery. Sorry for the lackluster review, but I just wanted to reinforce their opinions.
