  • Made in USA in 1999, Serial# 72435-21097-2-2, Playing Time 38:37This CD is a compilation of material of his early solo years, up to the “Street Machine” album, plus track 3 from a single first issued on album on “Rematch”, plus track 8 from the 1992 14-track compilation “The Best Of”.This disc is like a re-issue of that 1992 album, but is missing 4 tracks, while track 1, “Red”, is actually from his early self-titled album (and not “live” as stated on the CD, and not remixed as it appears under the other compilation).Nothing from “Danger Zone”, his last album for Capitol records, and nothing from his 1st solo effort, “Nine On A Ten Scale”.Overall, a fair compilation of his early solo work; track 8, a re-make of the oldie “Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay”, which I dislike, seems completely out of place after the smokin’ song “Trans Am”.I honestly don’t recommend this to anyone because it’s a little short: go for the alternative 14-track version of “The Best Of” instead, and/or the “Unboxed” CD, which covers the Geffen years
