If you like raw, riffy, hard rocking metal…this is for you. From beginning to end, this album is chock full of some of the nastiest rhythm grooves you will ever hear. Pure speaker candy with motor-like riffage. The sound quality is very upfront, and will punish the finest of speakers. The vocals are fantastic. This album literally fell in my lap on the web like it was destined for my collection. It should be destined for yours.

I initially heard of Black Water Rising through MySpace of all places. I can safely say that BWR is pure, unadulterated rock and roll. If you like heavy music, melodic riffs, and old style heavy metal, you will love this album. Take one part Black Sabbath, one part Black Label Society, add a dash of Monster Magnet, and top with a hint of Zepplin.
