For most people who just discovered Cold, if you listen to this CD and compare it with 13 Ways To Bleed Onstage, you might be surprised at how their debut CD is much angrier, frustrated and depressing than the newer stuff. The music is pretty simple, but still rocks. Scooter’s voice is great on this album. They do a lot more acoustic songs, which is nice, because I think bands like Cold really shine the best through their acoustic numbers. Some songs seem almost over-the-top depressing, especially “Insane.” “Give” is my favorite track, a very fast, but emotional track with a great chorus. Fred Durst (love him or hate him) really made a great discovery with this band and I cannot wait for their 3rd CD.
