Sylosis Biography - Sylosis Discography - All Heavy Metal Bands

2009 album from the reunited cosmic Doom Metal band. One of the heaviest and most respected bands in Metal, Yob are renowned for their unique brand of epic, crushing sludge doom. Founded in 1996 in Eugene, Oregon, the band developed a reputation as the heaviest Doom Metal three-piece ever alongside the legendary Sleep. In 2006, however, vocalist / guitarist Mike Schedit announced the group’s split after three albums on labels such as Abstract Sounds and Metal Blade Records.

  • Incredible, Gothen/thrash/death/metalcore outfit. Other than some clean lyrics here and there, one of the best bands I have ever heard.

  • This has blown me away completely! For those who don’t know, they infuse thrash, death metal as well as melodic guitar harmonies in their songs. The song ‘Lifeless Years’ is all of 4:57 minutes long but it sounds so epic I can’t even believe it! The intro Desolate Seas is really great too. Oath Of Silence is the perfect ending! Other tracks like the title track and Last Remaining Light are sure to be successful as well! Hard to find a flaw in this album.

As the title of this review says .. very highly recommended. Enjoy.

  • This is how it’s done people. This bands throws almost every sub-metal genre at you here. Metalcore/Thrash/progressive…..It’s a melting pot of in your face metal to melodic, slightly progressive metal. You will NOT think of KillSwitch Engage here at all. It’s a style all their own. These boys can play fellas. The music is awesome along with the lyrical content which is pretty good. “Reflections Through Fire”…listen to this track. Anthem song here. I look forward to future albums.

“Forced Into Fire”….LOL (Scream this line)
“May my reflection fade/as I wash away/what is left of this life”……I love this part….LOL.

    Give them a listen.
