Ok, so I am a huge Soulfly fan and could not wait for this album to come out. But I must admit I am very disappointed in it. I LOVED DARK AGES! When you listen to that CD there are so many levels to it and I thought it was the best cd for Soulfly and if it had the name Sepultura on it, then it would have been the best Sepultura cd ever!

So I guess I just had really high hopes for this cd and I have been let down. The songs just seem like they were throw-aways from Cavalera Conspiracy and Dark Ages. Nothing is really catchy (except FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROT) at all and it just seems as if they went in over a weekend and tried to see how fast they could play. I’m sorry, but I am just not a fan of this CD.

For Soulfly this is a 3-Star CD, but compared to any other cd put out this year by other bands, this is hands-down a 5-Star cd. I will say this, get the CD/DVD combo because I do feel that DVD redeemed the fact that I thought I threw away my $20. The DVD is really awesome and I just love seeing Max play live.
