These guys do not mess around. Throw Hatebreed and Meshugga in a blender and you will pour out Bury Your Dead. Great throaty vovals, a hundred tons of bottom end and enough break downs to make sure kids come out of shows bleeding. This really is some of the heaviest real hardcore I’ve heard in awhile. Many call these guys “tough guy” hardcore in the vein of Throwdown…and they are probably right. But BYD is much better, espcecially in the lyric department. If I could I would give this cd 6 stars just because they named every single song pointlessly (and hilariously) after a Tom Cruise movie. Here’s the track list:
1. Top Gun
2. Vanilla Sky
3. Mission: Impossible
4. Eyes Wide Shut
5. Magnolia
6. The Outsiders
7. Mission: Impossible 2
8. The Color Of Money
9. Risky Business
10. Legend
11. All The Right Moves
12. Losin’ It
Personally, Magnolia is the best track on the album. Has some great guitar work that stands out from all the other tracks.
Great for fans of hatebreed, throwdown, chimaira, darkest hour, or misery signals.
