This is one of those essential albums, on the same level as Led Zeppelin IV and Sabbath’s Paranoid. You get 18 classic cult tracks (including 2 unrelease songs), and they’re all amazing. The Cult’s sound is different than anything out there, and they cross over so many different styles…it’s spectacular. “In the Clouds”, one of the 2 new songs, is the hardest I’ve ever heard from them, and it’s great. A few of the tracks are cut short, though, but that’s just another great reason to go buy the full albums. Sonic Temple, Ceremony, and “The Cult” are my favorites.
