In the beginning of A New Hope, the commandor orders his troop to “Hold you fire” beacuse no life was detected on R2 and 3PO’s escape pod. Do you think:
1 Worst judgment call made in any of the movies?
2. The Empire is really that hard up for whatever makes laser blasts (they blow up a planet a short-time later just to display the Dath Star’s power to one person).
3. If that idot would have blown away the pod (what could it hurt?), that Luke and Leah and Yoda and Han and all the rest would have still crossed paths. If so, how?
