I did not like the album on first listen–the production quality sounded poor. (This was actually good production quality for the genre at the time.) It is now my favorite album, and I would not change the sound one bit. This sounds like ancient evil. I love the mood of it. So dark and full of despair. A sick feeling that they lost on future albums.
