  • This album was a pleasant surprise. I say this because their infamous first is completely brutal in all the right ways, and wasn’t sure what to expect. This one is much “softer”, but once again, in all the right ways. It has melody, great hooks, glorious choruses, and is a great modern pop piece. It maintains that certain rawness in its production, and it certainly works. It’s extremely re-listenable, and is a ton of fun. Definitely get this album, as well as their first, listen to them both as much as you can, and go see these guys live (one of the best live acts you’ll ever see).

  • Not a bad song on the cd. Check out Dangerous Man and Yes, Yes, Yes. One month later and I am still playing it everyday. Can’t wait to see them live.

  • I first heard Foxy Shazam on MySpace and then soon bought their Flamingo Trigger album. It was so unique to me at that time. So RAW, so hyper and melodic and insane and yet wise. Of course, no bands are purely their own. Regardless of what other bands sound similar to Foxy Shazam, Foxy Shazam does it better. Does it louder, does it more peaceful.

Piano Driven, Scream Driven, just wow. I wish I could explain it.

  • Foxy Shazam was recommended to me by an acquaintance of mine whom had helped them engineer their soon forth-coming album. The first song I was shown was Dangerous Man … which is a FANTASTIC song! However, the rest of the album fell FAR short of the talent in Dangerous Man. In fact, I still wonder if they just jammed some of these songs out in the studio prior to recording them, because, despite some catchy riffs and hooks, there is hardly any substance to the rest of the album.

To be fair, besides Dangerous Man, there were two songs I somewhat enjoyed: Red Cape Diver and Cool. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not that this band sucks by any means – you can tell they are immensely talented – it’s just that they seem to lack the ideals on how to put together a good sounding set of songs … especially the singer: he’s really good, and you can tell, but he almost goes far out to weird styles and sings about really really dumb stuff.

I would recommend buying the Dangerous Man mp3, because the song is amazing. Other than that, look around for some samples of the songs before you buy.
