  • Being a big fan of Incubus, I went to check out their latest album Light Grenades. This album seems to have garnered mixed reviews, but I think it’s pretty good.

I wasn’t a big fan of A Crow Left of the Murder because I think it had too much filler; fortunately, that’s not the case here. While the album does start off okay with “Quicksand” and “A Kiss to Send Us Off”, things easily pick up with the energetic “Dig”, as well as “Oil and Water” and “Love Hurts”. “Anna-Molly” (pronounced like “anomaly”) is also pretty decent.

I don’t quite understand why “Earth to Bella” is in the form of two separate songs, especially since both parts are barely over two minutes long, thus it would have been easy to just combine them. And the speed metal title track doesn’t really go anywhere. But everything else makes Light Grenades an album worth picking up.
