August Burn Red are, on the surface anyway, another Christian metalcore band. That label just doesn’t seem to fit, however. They just have a quality to their music that stands out and can be clearly heard on this release. One might wonder how popular this band would be if not for a certain little So-Cal band known as As I Lay Dying. In short, this is a band worth checking out. They may not be the most original thing you’ve heard, but they make for a satisfying listen none-the-less.
