The Obsessed is another cult doom band (close to The Trouble Psalm 9 (w/bonus DVD)playing their mysic since 1977 (when they were known – mainly in Washington DC only – as Warhorse).
Actually, to my humble opinion, “Lunar Womb” (released in 1992) is the first mature and decent album of the band (since the “Purple Album” compilationThe Obsessed (Hellhound)).
I would say that this album already belongs to the history of doom, and is simply a must for every fan of the genre. Although I do belong to a much older generation (Sabbath at al.), I was very pleased with it
