The Faceless has released an outstanding album that’s absolutely worth checking out. The band specializes in technical death metal in the melodic vein. What do I mean by that? Well, I was listening to this CD and it reminded me of groups like Cynic, Bloodbath, Opeth, Meshuggah, Death, and Soilwork… oh, and with a touch of black metal, too. Bottom line: It’s technical, but it has its melodic parts and is absolutely musical (unlike the technical death metal that’s purely noise.)

I recommend this to fans of metal. I highly recommend it to fans of extreme metal or any of the groups I may have listed above.
