  • First off, my favorite ST album is their first. That was far more “punk” than anything they released after it; with Join The Army they basically became a metal band. That isn’t to say they didn’t put out some good material afterward, though. I bought this one to get tracks like “You Can’t Bring Me Down” and “Gotta Kill Captain Stupid.” Both of ‘em rock, even if the lyrics aren’t exactly Bob Dylan. But I was VERY disappointed that the versions of “Institutionalized” and “I Saw Your Mommy” are from Still Cyco rather than the first album. These songs do NOT benefit from the tighter musicianship of the post-debut band.If you’re looking for a quick intro to Suicidal Tendencies, buy this CD. Then find a copy of their debut, and you have all the ST you will ever need!
