The high point of At The Gates’ recorded material. At The Gates are credited with one of the developers of the Gothenburg sound, along with In Flames and Dark Tranquility. If you like those bands, or newer ones like Arch Enemy, then this album should be in your collection.

“Blinded By Fear” got some rotation on MTV when it came out. My favorite is “Cold,” but all of the songs are strong. As other reviewers have pointed out, these are not highly complex Opeth-like songs, just straight-ahead death metal that is well-played and produced.
