  • Let me just inform you on this: if it’s a best-of collection released by Roadrunner records, don’t waste your money buying a few mere tracks. That’s not a proper retrospective to a band’s career.

Here’s the problem, Roadrunner just handpicked 12 of the band’s most known songs. That’s one off “Schizophrenia” (the re-recorded version of “Troops of Doom”, two off “Beneath The Remains”, three off “Arise”, four off “Chaos A.D.” and the last two off “Roots”. There’s no songs off “Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation” album and EP bundle Roadrunner re-released globally. And as much as I really am not into Derrick Green’s material, you could have thrown in a few songs off “Against” and “Nation”.

Don’t buy this. Just purchase their albums to get a good retrospective of them first. If you enjoy a groovier side of music, check out “Chaos A.D.” and “Roots”. If you’re more into thrash, check out “Arise” and “Beneath The Remains” first. Believe me, just using the extra cash to purchase their albums will give you a better retrospective of their career than buying a cheap “best of” collection.
