  • This band consists of members of King’s X, Night Ranger and Winger. Between Reb Beach’s guitar shredding and Doug Pinnick’s soulful vocals, that alone is worth the price of admission.

  • The long awaited and highly anticipated debut from the newest “Supergroup” to surface this year, THE MOB has finally been unleashed! The Mob’s self-titled debut will be remembered as one of the finest AOR recordings captured on tape! The Mob is, guitarist, REB BEACH (X- Winger/Whitesnake), lead vocals/bass, DOUG PINNICK (King’s X), keyboards, TIMOTHY DURY (X- Eagles/Whitesnake) and drummer, KELLY KEAGY (Night Ranger).

What these seasoned rockers bring to the table is an AOR sound that is powerful, aggressive, passionate and is guaranteed to get your rocks off once you hit play! Right off the bat The Mob flex their rock and roll muscle with the guitar driven, “One Track Mind”, Doug Pinnick’s vocals are dead on perfect and are complimented well by Reb Beach’s fiery and muscular guitar sound. Reb Beach, the mastermind who put this band together, deserves a big pat on the back! This release is for everyone who grew up in the late 80’s and early 90’s and want to relive the good old’ days. I’m sure it will bring back some great memories for anyone growing up during that time. I know it did for me.
Other songs that are worth cranking to the maximum, “I Will Follow”, “Never Get Enough”, “The Magic”, with Kelly Keagy handling lead vocals and “Turn To Stone”.

It’s great to hear how certain elements from the bands that they’ve been in (Winger, Night Ranger, Whitesnake, and King’s X) are incorporated into this release, creating a hybrid form of melodic hard rock that is unique and fresh. Kudos go to Kip Winger for his amazing production, THANKS KIP! Truly capturing what melodic hard rock should sound like.

You can tell that these guys have been doing this for a while, the chemistry between the four of them is tight as white on rice. Usually on an album, you’ll find 2-4 songs that really impress the listener, but with The Mob, all 11 songs ROCK! This CD contains more hooks than a tackle box! These guys are great musicians and song writers. Simply put, one of the best melodic rock albums to come out this year! A strong debut outing for a band that I have a feeling that is going to heard a lot more from in years to come. HANDS DOWN! THE MOB RULES!

  • For some reason this CD hasn’t been released in the U.S.. It should be, this CD really rocks, best music that come out in some time. in a different time “The Magic” would have been a huge radio hit.

  • Well It took some looking high and low. I finally got this CD. All I can say is this is an awesome line up. Why this is not in everymusic store in America is beyond me. Being an import does make it a bit of a challange to get. It’s worth all the hassle.
Why are these guys so below the radar screen is beyond me. These are musicians thru and thru. If you like real rock n’roll these this is definately for you. In the days of supergroups this may one of the top 3 period.

  • This is definitely my favorite CD of 2005. Up until I got this disc a week and half ago, it was TNT’s new CD “All The Way To The Sun”, which is now 2nd favorite of 2005 (but still an awesome CD!).

What can I say about this CD? Look at who’s on it! It really is a great blend of the best things about Winger, Night Ranger, and King’s X. I’ve always been a casual King’s X fan (I own the greatest hits and live CD), but I’ve always been a huge fan of Night Ranger and Winger. Doug (from King’s X), however, brings a very cool edge to this CD with the vocals. I just can’t stop listening to it! If you’re into great melodic rock, and you like any of the bands mentioned above, you’re in for a real treat with this CD. Rock on!
