I can’t even believe there was only one review on this album, before I wrote mine. This album from start to finish is amazing, leaving you begging on the floor asking for more. The lead singer Timmy shreds on vocals, and he is only 19 years old! He is someone I look up to. This is one of those albums that you need to get, to get shredding. I’ve had this album since it came out back in January, but I don’t know what took me so long to write a review. You should see this band live. I can’t complain about how many breakdowns there are on this album, because I like them. If you like deathcore, and don’t have this album you are really missing out on a masterpiece.

Let me start off by saying that this album is a huge step up from the bands debut release, Crucify. Kill. Rot. and will keep your attention from start to finish. The Resting Sonata is 100x more technical than anything the band has ever released and is more punishing too. But the thing that most sets this album apart from the rest (in a bad way) is the enormous amount of breakdowns. Every song has a breakdown. Some are more catchy than others, and some sound like they were just created so there could be some fill in the song. Don’t let that aspect stray you away from buying this. If you are a fan of death metal, progressive metal, speed metal, hardcore, or technical metal, this CD incorporates it all. Buy it and prepare for a brutal beatdown.
