Typically Throwdown is stereotyped easily as being a metalcore band due to them coming from Orange County like other bands such as Eighteen Visions and Bleeding Through. By the time they recorded 2005’s Vendetta, their Pantera and Machine Head influences started to show more. Enter 2007, they’ve released Venom & Tears. Now, each Throwdown album is a soundtrack to a white-knuckle brawl. This album: an obliteration. More fast heavy riffs, quick thrashy drumming, and a first…actual guitars solos. A great album for fans, and if you weren’t convinced before, this one might just convince you.
