I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Ferret Records continues to amaze me with the new bands they sign. Ligeia is case in point, very reminiscent of old Poison the well. Yeah, you can definitely tell this band counts that older band as in influence. Lyrical topics are pretty much the same, nothing new there, but the vocals completely floored me, as well as the music, which is melodic but heavy at the same time.
