Interestingly, while the name uses counter-clockwise swastika, the armbands feature the clockwise swastika, which is associated with Nazism. However, this isn't consistent, as some images were apparently mirrored (or drawn wrong...). Also, Appends are really awesome. TL note from animeyay: A "karakuri" is a mechanized puppet capable of performing simple preprogrammed tricks. It can also metaphorically refer to a person who follows orders blindly. The translation was recently changed - Len's line about evildoers being "nothing more than zombies following orders" should apparently actually be "nothing more than piles of useless junk". It's fixed in the MKV version and annotations were added as well.
