Spitfire

The Man Who Designed The Spitfire.

Reginald Joseph Mitchell (20 May 1895 - 11 June 1937) was an aeronautical engineer, best known for his design of the Supermarine Spitfire. This fighter aeroplane (along with the Hawker Hurricane) fought off Hitler's Luftwaffe and foiled The Führer's planned invasion of England in the summer of 1940 during THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN. This was the first real German setback in the Second World War.
