The Red Chord Biography
The Red Chord is from Revere, MA. Containing members of Beyond the Sixth Seal, the band contains elements of multiple extreme metal musical genres, including grindcore, technical death metal and have even been credited as one of the bands for pioneering the deathcore genre along with Despised Icon and Job for a Cowboy Their debut album, "Fused Together in Revolving Doors", released on Robotic Empire records, made an impact in underground metal with its mix of technical death metal and metalcore. Three years later they released their follow up album "Clients" on Metal Blade Records. The album featured more of a metalcore sound. In 2007 "Prey for Eyes" was released. This album was darker, faster, and more complex than their previous releases. The bands fourth and latest album, Fed through the Teeth Machine, was recorded in the summer of 2009 at Backyard Studios. The vocalist Guy Kozowyk said the new songs are more "intense and mature" than those on the previous album. "It's faster and heavier, but it's definitely groove-oriented and melodic where it needs to be," he commented. "Fed Through the Teeth Machine" sold around 2,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release and debuted at No. 180 on the Billboard 200 chart. Vocalist Guy Kozowyk runs the label Blackmarket Activities, home to bands such as Animosity,From a Second Story Window, Deadwater Drowning, Behold... the Arctopus, and Ed Gein.
