Vogue America Editor-At-Large Hamish Bowles called the show "totally charming." He described it as a little girl at home in her mom's closet trying on clothes that are too big for her. Adds Nina Ricci designer Peter Copping, "It was very much about a girl on the cusp of becoming a woman and discovering herself." Copping did a lot of experimentation in the atelier to enhance dress proportions. A sense of oversize was apparent here. Sleeves were cut very long so they would hide the hands. "That sense of oversize gave a coolness and a sense of oversize to the clothing," Copping said. Fabrics that were important included tweed but not in a heavy way. Colors were plums, mauves, and deep chocolate brown but with an additional pink tone mixed in.
