Y&T Phil Kennemore Benefit NYE
The Rock World held a New Years benefit concert for Phil Y&T original Bass Player.He has cancer and is fighting the good fight. This video is done with respect for Phil. The Phil Kennemore Fund 5255 Stevens Creek Blvd #233 Santa Clara CA 95051 I remember a New Years Eve concert in 1986 at the San Jose Civic. Y&T hit the stage with Armored Saint flash forward to 2010-11 Y&T New Years a DEJA Vu? Yes and it was a good one. Members from Queensryche, Ratt, Dio ,Keel, Testament, Exodus all made appearances and rocked the stage for unique sets and some collaboration =that was fun and spontaneous.I was happy to see the original Line up of Y&T Minus Phil hit the stage from some awesome Jams. This version of Y&T is the one we all know and love .The many concerts in the 80's. I can name a few favorites=Great America when they did concerts in the parking lot.The various clubs gigs and then the Day On The Green.The Day On The Green 86 is legendary Metallica, YNGWIE and his Rising Force, Ratt, SCORPIONS,and our home town heroes Y&T.That Line up was Magic and it created the tunes that shaped some of my teenage years. The Y&T original band hit the Stage at the Avalon for quite a few tunes and for that Y&T jam= I was back rocking like a teenager in the pit to some of my favorite 80's jams in my suit.LOL This concert was indeed special. Get Better Phil I look forward to hearing your bass intro for Bar Room Boogie again someday. The 80's music is alive and well. Not a bad way to spend a New Years Eve. Happy New Year!!!
