A little less than 4 years ago, Cannibal Corpse, the ax and hammer on us and gave us Kill. Brutal, vicious, unrelenting. By far, it was one of the best in a long time. Albums such as Vile and gallery of suicide, while technically well made and in many cases seriously underestimated, but not so good, intense, and fan-pleasing as others, such as Gore Obsessed and kill were. The rest of the Corpse Grinder time, even with a good song now and again (for example, “Unleashing the bloodthirsty”) just felt messy.
Kill does not feel at all messy. It was well built and wild as hell. But even with real crowd-pullers such as pleases “The Time To Kill Is Now” and “Maniacal” It was like something was missing. There was enough power behind the songs. I seriously doubt that anyone would deny that. But there was very little that was truly memorable, and although I think it (my album of choice on a bad day) it makes me sometimes wish to view the most important songs and get on with my life with something else.
Eviscerate Pest addicted I am immersed in the moment, the screen and a little streaming player on the floor began spewing the title track from my speakers. Slow Wailing Wall guitars and a soft (or hard) drum beat comes in what is now the brand Corpse Grinder sound. The beat sounds in my ears. It was a slow, but it sounded like he has more energy, more steady rhythm and a feel better than almost everything I heard before the killing.
When it finally arrived (a day early and with a free autographed booklet, no less), I felt a little worried about it in. I was worried I was just to make them on my bookshelf and barely touch it again, how many of Cannibal Corpse's albums unfortunately seems to be done. But, I have it in my stereo, pressed play, and the slowness on the title track was gone. The speed, irritating. The brutality, over-the-top. And to boot, the energy that I've heard on an album since Cannibal Corpse Tomb of the mutilated.
“priest of Sodom,” “split” and “Shatter Your Bones” has me really all personally, and are now some of my personal favorites. Overall, the album is the earth shatteringly fast, hard, and insane, as was Kill. But what they have, that killing is not a whole are the memorable riffs and hooks. But do not think that means they have sold out. The lyrics and the overall feel just as sick and twisted than ever before. It's almost a miracle, the album is not the infamous explicit warning, but like many albums have CC lately? It seems their reputation is proof enough that alone. And for those wondering why the album cover does not seem to be the category, consult the brochure and get a good look on the inside. It is certainly a crowd puller Pleaser.
This album is for me, especially the recent shows that they are more than just the alleged cartoonish parody of Death Metal, that critics called them over the years. They are legitimate, brutal and heavy as they ever were, especially here, on this album. If you have never given the band a shot, start with either of the damaged grave (a real fan favorite) or the box 15 years Killing Spree (For a glimpse at their best over the years). Death Metal fan, who always avoided Cannibal Corpse? Try this and see what you think. It is simply one of the best that they ever made.
      Stay Metal!

At this point in her career, it is very easy for you corpse lobe with a never-ending onslaught of blast beats. But Eviscerate plague is far away. This may Corpse's the most mature version. The album is very heavy, dark, intense, yet catchy. You will find you singing along, especially with Track 3 (to decompose). But let not the case, my earlier detour you, despite the catchy, the album still has a lot of balls. The songs have a lot of depth, with plenty of rhythm and vocal changes. The lyrics are so dark and humorous as ever. Webster has emerged from this period. Even the slower pieces, like the title track, have their own presence. They stand with the rest of the album.
Although in the past, I prefer Barnes on Corpse Grinder, this album made me a believer. I go back into the catalog as the corpse of someone who just discovered Corpse.
Bottom Line: This album is for old and new fans, there is something for everyone! For anyone who believes Corpse is old and tired, this album is the answer. You do not have something, and Eviscerate plague proves it. Weight of just under 40 minutes, this album is intense, mature and deserves the name of Cannibal Corpse!

An excellent album from Corpse, one of their best dare I say.
When I got this album I was thinking well, it’s a new Corpse album so obviously I have to get it but I was expecting more of the same.

It is amazing that these guys could sling more bloody chuncks with their fans, but they have. You will never be slow as each new version is better. I like it eaten back to life to kill, to the new release. If you are a fan of cannibal not dissapoint you!

    Better than ever!
As a die hard Cannibal Corpse fan, I really enjoyed The Wretched Spawn. Kill, however, was just okay for me.

Cannibal Corpse’s longevity speaks for itself. And they’re still putting out good albums, even after all these years. Evisceration Plague and Kill, are two of my favorites.
