Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection

While many of their peers were abandoning ’70s metal and arena rock to hop the punk/new wave bandwagon, Def Leppard smartly stripped the earlier era’s music of its excesses, bolstered it with energetic, pop-savvy hooks and quickly found itself the vanguard of the UK’s new metal revival and one of the ’80s most spectacularly successful rock acts. I had an older Def Leppard Greatest Hits Packages (vault). This is one of those bands, who as a child of the 80s, I knew very well. Def Leppard in the 80s were a band that you simply could not ignore. I knew that all their hits, I had a couple of their tapes back in the day, but as time went on, it felt like a band, I had “the head”. They tried their style in the years 1996 (slang), but then returned to their traditional sound to, but I was no longer interested (although I like a piece here and there).
When they came to this 2 CD Greatest Hits package, I ditched all my existing Def Leppard CD's and went with this, as I have it from the songs of them gave me very liked it. There is no sense in it here, I would just like to copy the tracklist. But it is almost everything. It has a few songs from their first days, before her mega-success, that is, when a lot of people thought the band lost soul. This affects everything up to their last studio album, now that the “X”.
If you like Def Leppard in the past, and none of their albums, do. It is a great career, the retrospective that just hit to all corners of their albums.

    Not great but not bad
I am a nostalgic and was looking forward to listening to some songs that I grew up with. There are great songs in this set but find myself having to skip through one or two songs…

    1) It is the best compilation of the band the 35 tracks.
      2) There is an excellent view of their successful years (1980-1992).
      3) after “Rock of Ages” will save you the trouble, their three albums “High 'n' Dry” Pyromania “and” hysteria “due to the fact that most of the titles of the albums are here.
      4) This collection is less expensive and better than the two separate Greatest Hits packages by the band.
      5) There is a very good job of the albums I mentioned above, there is also a good selection of songs from their other albums like “On Through The Night,” “Retro Active” and ” Euphoria. ”
      6) It is less expensive than both of the other Greatest Hits packages.
      7) The inside booklet with comments from members of the band on each song, plus cool photos and a brief overview of their career.
      8) Since this covers their career (albeit mostly 80-92, as I have already mentioned) it shows how the band can change their sound, but still very solid.
      9) The two CDs in the same case, so you do not have extra spending money as if it was a box-set.
      10) Def Leppard Rocks!
      Overall:
This is a very well together, represent a large collection of Rock Band. I recommend it, it will be difficult to stop and listen to immediately enthusiastic.

Now this is a Rock Band!
I remember turning people onto their first and second tapes back in the day when they started out. Some of my favorite all time rock songs are done by these guys.
