Hank Williams III – AssJack Reviews
The highly anticipated debut features Hank III who wrote, performed and produced everything on the record. The self-titled album personifies the split in the psyche of the singer/guitarist/songwriter/producer who last year released the psych-country album Damn Right, Rebel Proud.

As Expected!!!!
I got into Hank 3’s music a few years back and I haven’t been let down. He definetely doesn’t water down any of his material.
This album is not as Alternative Country Album. It's just metal through and through. The band is Assjack Hanks metal output. Who should buy this album expecting nothing else. An artist is free, in many ways and not always as we expect. That's what they do. As the album is perfect for the genre. If you like Hard Rock / Metal dont think twice, like it!
But this is not necessarily a bad thing. That is a lot heavier than the Hank III, most people are used to. This is also not an outlaw country album. It is difficult to classify, but I can come closest, is made of metal or Stoner Rock. If you for Hank III, that for which he is not here (but it is the same type). If you have heard, the Assjack bootlegs in the circulation for a while, as you know what you're looking for here. Even if you have seen, Hank III, in concert, as it is the band and he makes the second half of the show. If you are in the Stoner Assjack or metal as it is a pretty good album. You get the Stoner Metal sound, but with Hank's song writing ability, the phonomenal. If you have only heard Hank III, and you're dealing with this album, just a preview of the tracks (here on Amazon) before you pick up. If you know Assjack or in a serious tone, as a pick-up this album immediately. This album is a great represnetation from the other side of Hank III.

Great music, crap mp3 recording
I listened to the mp3 samples and the album is right up my alley… hardcore metal with a slight bluesy/rockabilly scent.
Hank III is still a bit here. I loved his solo stuff, but the sound is much more up-tempo. I hope this is just the beginning. I look forward to more Assjack in the future. If you are in the hard-rock and sound like someone else here is your CD.

Southern Unholiness @ it’s best!!!
If your lookin for country tunes, it aint here, jack! However you will find wrist-slashin redneck metal! Hank plays all instruments(awesomely) & does all “vocals”.

I enjoy the versatility of Hank Williams III!
You gotta admit, what alt country skirts the boundaries of rock with it’s jam bands and hints of hard rock. But metal? Hank III is the best at it.
