How Can I Sing Higher Notes With A More “metal” Sound?

I am the vocalist of a melodic heavy metal band, and I’m trying to strengthen my head voice. I want to increase my range, and also give a harsher sound to the higher notes, similar to the way Matt Barlow of Iced Earth and Ted Neeley from Jesus Christ Superstar sing their high notes. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

you may be a baritone, and not be able to sing like a tenor, unless you scream and wreck your throat.

To sing stronger, or harsher, as you put it, you need to STRENGTHEN your head voice, you need to work your range, and sing those notes, and make sure you support your breath from the abdomen. You just need to sing those high notes, until you can strengthen that part of your range, and by doing range exercises, those will help, and it will also increase your range even further.
