Megadeth have exceeded themselves with this release. The remastering of a classic speed / thrash album around'83 -'84. This version includes a completely renovated Cover (The only band that really wanted to), good remixes that really brightens the mix and brings the somewhat murky mix of the original (Combat Records) for a wonderful clarity and hardness . Dave Mustaine starts the album with a scorching commentary on what his life was shortly after the “Burn” by Metallica and his way of thinking in putting together his band. Then Dave Ellefson, and Scott Ian's (from Anthrax) Introduction. At the beginning of the comment that you both Dave's (Mustaine and Ellefson) on each song. The Final Topper is the 3-demos at the end (last rites / Loved to Deth, Mechanix, and the skull beneath the skin), the wonderful to see how the song in the musical breakthrough they will have. Congratulations to Dave Mustaine and Dave Ellefson for the opportunity to show them a chance to remix history and make it better than it was before. RIP Gar Samuelson

Awesome debut by my favorite thrash metal band.
Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica, and he was pissed. So what did he do? What anyone in his position would have done of course, release an album of his own that would be…

A lot of people never Killing is my business because of manufacturing defects, but this Remastered Edition brings the entire album to life. Dave Mustaine's voice sounds incredibly clear, and it is much easier to hear the drums of Gar Samuelsson, which happens to be that the album is dedicated. The highlights of this album are Mechanix, the skull beneath the skin, and Down the Cross, among others. All these songs have a completely different sound to them on the Remastered version. Also you can find some comedy on the album. Dave's cover of “The Boat”, which of course was from the original Killing is my business because of copyright issues, is back on this album. The only problem is that the original song writing, Lee Hazelwood, did not allow Dave to use many of the obscene texts in his version. Dave has the song on the album with the majority of the texts bleeped out. It's funny to hear the song. As if that is not enough, you get Megadeth's 3-song demo from 1983. These have a raw power to them, they sound great, even if the quality is not so good, Dave does not have a good tape to use these images. Anyway, I am sure that all Megadeth fan is already on this album. If you have not bought, it's worth it for you .. $

    Lame.
This album is typical, cliche generic trash metal! LOL, I said “trash” instead of “thrash”!!!!! LOL!!!!! Anyway, this album is pathetic. Their best album is obviously “Risk”.

    Explicit lyrics….?
This was a BIG disappointment. I have the cassette version and I have been trying to locate a CD for a very long time so I can have it for my collection.

I have the non-remaster version of the classic first Megadeth album, popularly known as KIMBER. I had the original presses with a full These boots, but my friend lost it, so I bought another copy, but it lacked the Nancy cover song. Well, it was OK, but really the weakest song on an otherwise flawless CD. KIMBER is non-stop thrash metal bliss, until the end. Each track is awesome. The opening track is haunting and creepy, and then only with high-kick a **. And you will not stop, a breath, until the entire CD is ready. It is the gut. I would say the standout tracks are Killing is my business, the skull beneath the skin, elect, and the view down the cross (this song is brutal, I chills TiO hear the lyrics and incredible musicality). Mechanix better music than Metallica's Four Horsemen, but Metallica has the cooler lyrics. Chris Poland's lead guitar is amazing. Gar on drums … You have to hear it to believe it. Megadeth The original line-up with Poland and Gar never beat. True Metal legendary album. 5 Stars across the board. An essential must CD.

I am very upset wiht the bleeped out version of “These Boots”
I am so ticked (of course I would use other words) I was so excited about once again having this album (since I first purchased it on cassette in the 80s)and was with the remixes…

Quite possibly my favorite Megadeth album!
When I was first looking to get into Megadeth, I decided to start with what many considered their best album: Peace Sells.

    Short, fast and heavy.
There is a school of thought that says ‘good things are even better if they don’t drag on’ and this album proves it.

    Solid debut
Well I’ve never heard the original version of “Killing…” but I can hear from this that the production was a bit raw and underproduced, but that did not take away the song…

Since theres already 102 other revies, this will be brief and to the point. All the songs are extremly hard and fast.
