Metallica – St. Anger Reviews

St. Anger

Never underestimate the regenerative powers of Metallica. Following the stripped-down Load and Re-Load, they’ve returned to the raw, vitriolic savagery of their earlier canon, using 1984’s Ride the Lightning as a template for St. Anger. The title track provides the psychic lynchpin of the album by combining the bombast and defiance of the band’s earliest high-water marks with more deliberate lyrics and emotional nakedness. Equally cathartic is “Some Kind of Monster,” a lumbering be (more…)

    It’s OK
Funny thing: The album that fans hate has the most reviews.
For me, the artwork is cool.

At first, I never was a fan of Metallica. Their first four albums were some of the worst albums I have ever heard of.

This has led to most diturbing thing I ever experienced. I went to my local used CD store to see what is new, and some children are trying to ready the business owners to buy his copy of St. Anger for 2 bucks. The children go out of business with the CD under his arm. I asked the owner why he did not buy from the child and then he said, nobody buys that item is no longer. I asked why, and he showed me the CD Metallica used section … Ohhh My God! There were at least 45 copies of St. Anger in there! “I will never be a copy of this garbage again,” the man told me, “The last time I sold one of these 3 weeks and two days after that the same guy came back here and wanted to sell it again for me again for $ 2! true story! The man and the baby were both legally not to sell or buy that album … St Anger is the worst thing ever happened to that electric guitar! Dear God! How can that be!. Even though the Load and Re-load were not what oldschool fans like me expect from Metallica, this should be in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest dissapointment in music history. This is totally aweful! I mean, no pun intended, but the rookie is for older Gods of Metal such as Metallica, including Venom's Welcome to Hell sounds better! I can not believe that someone actually wanted to album and it sounds bad on porpoise! That will never be me, no matter how many years I will try to! So for those of you to sell …. jajajajajaja try the moon, coz there are not enough people in this world who want to buy that crap! not even used!

Before this album was released, I had heard the rumormill and “buzz” about Metallica finally going “back to their roots”. I was skeptical.

Listening to this CD is literally TORTURE
“Torture” (noun)– Being forced to listen to this abject failure by Metallica.
Metallica cornered the market with St. Anger.
