Scorpions – Bad For Good: The Very Best of Scorpions Reviews

Bad For Good: The Very Best of Scorpions

Sure they’re big, dumb, and obvious, but weren’t the Ramones? Isn’t Britney? (Especially Britney!) It is, after all, no mean feat to forge a bona fide rock stereotype, let alone become a self-perpetuating parody of said cliché in the bargain. Fashions may come and go, but the Scorpions still “Rock You Like a Hurricane”–and now at sporting events the nation over, no less. The material here leans heavily on the Hanover band’s ’80s prime, a period when they burnished their melodic (more…)

    Not without Uli
The Scorpions isn’t the Scorpions without Uli Roth. That’s the truth and there’s no denying it. True fans will know what I’m talking about.

If you do not own any Scorpions Best Of or Greatest Hits CD's, as it is a nice collection to own. If you have a complete collection, then you have to fork up more dollars for the two-CD package called “Deadly Sting: The Mercury Years”. The Scorpions Greatest Hits CD has all their good songs from the year 1979, “Love Drive” album until 1993, the “Feel the Heat”. Also included are two new tracks. The Scorpions are not much of dent in rock here in the U.S. until the 80s (although in Europe and Japan). With the help of MTV with videos such as “No One Like You” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane” Scorpions of a good name. This 24-bit digitally remastered CD sounds very, very much better than other hits CD's I have heard. Fans of groups like Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and AC / DC, etc., this new collection. Five stars for the song selection and sound quality.

    Scorpions for the Housewife set.
It’s compilations like this that give bands like this a bad name. Often categorized as a Hair or Glam band of the 80s, Scorpions were actually one of the most influential of Metal…

This collection is awesome! The two new songs are great and granted, “Deadly Sting” is better, because there are more of them, but this is for the new and uninitiated. Who but me tired of hearing people dog 80s bands? This is some of the greatest music ever and all they talk about their hair! I think this is the “hip”, what to do today. How 'bout as the original? THINK themselves and get this collection! Maybe you will realize what a jerk you have for the marketing things you never heard! Music was much more exciting back then, I will tell you know that now … if only turn into the best new Scorpions studio album in more than a decade. In my humble opinion, they have not a great album since “Crazy World” (without the “Live Bites”, which is awesome!). It is time, guys! The world needs you now more than ever! By the way, these guys are still leading cause of death to live! Saw it with Deep Purple and Dio & they rock! The Wolf

    Packed With Mind Numbing Rock!!!
Many have complained that this CD is not “complete” enough to represent this band. I don’t care. It clocks in at 79:55 and all the songs save one are a great listen if you just…

Well, I only have this album, and here is my review about it: I do not want to say something about the 16 first songs cos they are not new songs, as we all know that these songs are hits and the best ones of the Scorpions! So, if you do not know the Scorps, this will really help you know about their music! But what I want to talk about is the two new songs: “bad for good”, and “because I love you.” well, it's been a few times the scorps talked about a new album coming soon, and that is a return to the roots album! Well, these two songs seem to be samples from the upcoming ablum “style! and this style is just incredible! Although musically speaking, the scorps have a lot of professional albums (pure instinct, at eye level, Moment of Glory, Acoustica), but not really rock albums, a little slower than the old scorps songs, but these two songs really link between the “in the upper” Music and … Rock songs! well, if this is the kind of scorps are planning for the new album, it is so good, although the last 4 albums, I talked about are the best for me, but this style (bad for a good cause and i love u) is all Fans around the world! and they are still not 100% like the old stuff, they are homogeneous with the new rock music! also on the recording! it just rules! the sound of the guitar is excellent, and even the drums! and they are so cool (by Dieter Dierks), especially in bad for good! Thanks to Matthias for the use of your voice to the “Cause i love you! I like their sound! and the way you play it! Keep on rockin 'scorps !!!!!! Only the best!

    Love @First Sting–ah, I mean Listen…
I’ve been a big fan of the Scorps since I first heard my local radio station play ‘The Zoo’ circa 1982 or so, and after Blackout hit the stores, I bought it and I’ve been hooked…

A hurricane of rock from the Fatherland!
The Scorpions are definitely one of the greatest and most successful rock bands to emerge out of Germany, and they prove it to you 18 times of on this collection “Bad For Good:…

Not as good as I would have liked
This is not a bad alblum, but I think that there are far better Scorpion songs that the could have included on this CD.

1/2–Good song choice, but several disappointments
I love the Scorpions. They are my favorite heavy metal band. They are one of the few German rock bands to ever exist.
