Your Opinion On The Best Metal Bands?

What Metal bands do you think are the best not including these but bands that sound like these. Bullet For my Valentine, KillSwitch Engage, Slipknot, Blindspott???

    I like extreme metal, proper metal, not this mainstream mnetal like BFMV and KSE. I’ve got nothing against these bands, I used to really like them, but I’ve moved on to pastures new and pastures heavy.
    My current favourites are Opeth (okay, not that extreme, but I do l;ike them), Mayhem, Emperor, Gris, Vintersorg, Burzum, etc. Basically, mostly black metal.

    Please don’t call that trash metal it’s an insult to many long time metal heads like myself. Start with the classics like Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. If you like it heavier try bands like White Chapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Veil of Maya, Six Feet Under, Cannibal Corpse, Children of Bodom, Necrophagist… I figured I should stop myself before I start typing all day.

    First off, most of the bands you listed are not metal, especially Bullet for my Valentine. but you might like the band Children of Bodom.

    i dont know about that crap your refering to as metal but if you want some real metal check out…. Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, Pantera, Sabbath, Sepultura, Dekapitator, Motorhead etc

    I’d say Slayer. But if you think bullet for my valentine is metal- then Slayer is probably too hardcore for you.
